Doing so while reppin’ your love of the Central Coast and our collective message to enjoy but PROTECT it. Pack it in, pack it out folks… leave it better than you found it… wear this cap and shout it from the rooftops - Let’s keep the Central Coast and all of it’s creatures well taken care of and clean.
The fit// This beanies is stretchy and fits most heads - even kids. However; some people with big heads or lots of hair have claimed it’s a big snug. I’ve found that it wears into the head it’s on and washes well.

THE DESIGN // I’ve spent my whole life adventuring around the beautiful central coast. Every town, beach, campground - and the many miles in between - have deep meaning to my family and I. This map is a summary of it all. I want this piece to be the catalyst of Central Coast storytelling in any space it sits, and if those stories include “remember when...”, “awww, this is where...”, “I just love this place” then my mission is complete.
THE PROCESS // Letterpress printing is a process where etched plates with ink applied are pressed into thick paper to create an impression. Letterpress prints tend to have a very tactile quality, with a slight debossing effect evident where the ink has been laid.
THE PAPER // In order to create an impression, the paper used in letterpress is an important as the process itself. This naturally archival paper, Crane’s Lettra, is made of 100% cotton fibers that are long and soft making the impression distinguishable to the eye and touch. Crane’s papers are made of cotton linters which are a byproduct of the cotton industry making this paper a sustainable, tree-free option.
THE PRINTHOUSE // Czar Press is a small-run, artisan printhouse in Southern California. I’ve been admiring their work from afar for many years. The thought of being able to collab with them seemed so far out of reach. Until it wasn’t. Don’t wake me if I’m dreaming.
FRAME OPTIONS // I have 3 frame options for this: They are all 14x18” wood frames with a float mounted print. They come in either white, natural or grey washed wood. I ship these without glass to lessen then weight, packing material and potential for damage. You can also see the letterpress better without the glass. Email me if you’d prefer glass be included.
Add this bronze bling to jazz up anything from your favorite cardi to your weekend knapsack.

THE DESIGN // For the past couple years I’ve lived my life in accordance of the moon. It sounds like something that’s pretty out there, but it’s actually just science. The tides, crops and animals all live in accordance to the moon, so why wouldn’t we to? But what it really comes down to for me is energy. I have more energy during a full moon than a new moon. This is a good time for me to start a new project or go bigger. If I follow these patterns, my life is more harmonious. I illustrated this phase chart to help you live by the moon too, and words that might help guid you through each phase too.
THE PAPER // French Paper Company is a 6th generation paper mill out of Michigan. They are one of the last to produce an American paper. The mill is run completely on hydropower and the wood used is a byproduct making this a more sustainable paper option which is a deep, rich midnight blue color.
PRINT PROCESS // This is a 2 color screenprint. The dusty blue is printed first and then the metallic gold sits atop it.

This is a hand-painted moon ornament/keychain. Every one is different but features a hand-painted watercolor moon, gold foil, a hand-lettered mantra for the times on the back, and is enclosed in a 2x2 glass frame. Your mantra will be a surprise.
These stickers were hand-illustrated and then digitized by my daughter, Brooklin, when she was 11.
“She wore a midnight moon and nothing else” handlettered atop an indigo watercolor moon. I haven’t sold this piece yet because I haven’t shared it yet. Sometimes I keep them to myself for a bit until the time feels right to let them free to their forever home. Maybe it is yours?
I painted this particular piece on a sunny Saturday in my apartment in SLO. Plants, music, my kiddo, dogs and coffee were present. These are all things that also benefit if you buy this pieces - especially during this uncertain time.
